Back in the Polyurea area, they sometimes need to trim foam trays to remove rough edges, making them look as clean as possible for our customers. The stencil knives were laying on the table waiting to bite someone who moved a hand across the table.
Hazard known; how to fix was the next step.

With all that foam, could it be that easy?? Yes, it could!

At the edge of one table an organizer was made! Now the working surface (the table) is freer from obstruction, looks much better and is safer. They had Maintenance cut some wood for framing it, and glued the block to the table so it does not move. Brilliant!

And when work is between two tables, a block to stick the knife into when not being used. Again, it is glued to the table so it is not going anywhere. Wonderful! Making safety improvements to your area can be something simple. When we Think about the hazards, sometimes the answer jumps right out at us. By Talking about this hazard, they took Action to prevent injury, with the Knowledge gained through training and experience, and now their Equipment is readily accessible and kept in a safe manner. WAY TO GO!!
