This Service Advisory is to inform you of actions you need to take regarding your MSA SENTRY io controllers if your unit is installed in an outdoor location or other environment subject to water ingress. If your unit is not installed in either of these conditions, no action is needed. Potentially affected models were manufactured between March 1, 2023, and February 14, 2025, and are listed in Table 1 in the attached notice.
MSA has found that the buzzer assemblies on SENTRY io Controllers may not provide the stated water ingress protection for the device. MSA has not received any reports of injuries associated with this condition. However, we are requesting that you complete the actions in this notice as soon as possible.
If your unit is installed in an outdoor location or other environment subject to water ingress, it is required to update your device per this notice. Please contact MSA to make arrangements for an MSA technician to update the buzzer assembly. You may continue using your existing installation until your device has been updated. If your unit is not installed in an outdoor location or other environment subject to water ingress, no further action is required. For more information, please review the full Service Advisory below.
