For 20 years now, when teaching any of my process safety courses I make the student repeat this three times: UPWARDS and UNOBSTRUCTED, UPWARDS and UNOBSTRUCTED, UPWARDS and UNOBSTRUCTED. We do this when we get to the Relief System design basis.
