2017 Video of the Week #39 (PRCS Entry into tanker – so many things WRONG!)

You may be thinking this video was shot in 1950’s, but nope it is 2015!  If you ever wondered why we still have PRCS accidents in transportation containers, this may be a small indicator of why!  Make sure you have your volume up so you can hear their conversation – UNREAL (ESPECIALLY at the 15:15 mark – if you wondered “did they ventilate or sample the atmosphere inside the tanker?”).  This video is posted as a “promotional/educational” video for a business that does DOT inspections.  Some of their comments are right on the mark, regarding the actual inspection of the container; however, their ladder use, PRCS practices, and fall protection practices are AWFUL!  Remember this video is posted as a “marketing” video… obviously “safety professionals” are not their target audience!

Special Note:  Who can find the massive error(s) related to handling a Cat 2 Flammable Liquid (e.g. gasoline) in this video?
