Cheating in business is cheating in safety

Trust Lolyd

Trust LolydWithout TRUST, safety doesn’t stand a chance!

Companies require employees to attend annual “ethics training.” Behind the scenes, the company is lying to all its stakeholders.

First, it was VW and now FCA (formerly Chrysler). And companies can’t seem to understand why their safety cultural surveys are always pointing to a lack of TRUST as a major cultural barrier. And those same executives wonder why the safety team can’t lead safety, why performance is down, and employee participation is down.

It is an insult to many, and thus we have the “Great Resignation” occurring.

Cheating to make the numbers look better than they actually are… sounds like a lot of safety programs. And there is a lack of trust in these traditional safety programs as employees know who gets injured and when the signs say we are still on pace to set a record, they know what’s getting manipulated.
