Bryan has developed, implemented, and managed five (5) world-class process safety management systems for five Fortune 500 companies, of which four received OSHA VPP status and awards from the Chlorine Institute, American Petroleum Institute, and Chemical Manufacturer’s Association. These management systems were used for OSHA’s Process Safety Management and EPA’s Risk Management Plan. Now, as a consultant, Bryan focuses his process safety efforts on helping companies with the following:
- Process Hazards Analysis – Bryan has facilitated well over 200 PHAs on both Batch and Continous Mode processes, and participated in hundreds more. He is co-author of Guidelines for Hazard Evaluation Procedures, Third Edition, American Institute of Chemical Engineers—Center for Chemical Process Safety, 2008, having written Part II – Working Examples. - Emergency Planning and Response – Bryan has extensive experience in responding to fires, spills/releases, and confined space/high-angle rescue emergencies. Bryan also trains hundreds of industrial responders annually and conducts drills with clients, including tabletop exercises and full-scale community drills.
- Compliance Audits—With well over 450 PSM/RMP audits, Bryan is known internationally for his detailed auditing approach. As a former Special Government Employee (SGE), Bryan has conducted PSM audits alongside OSHA personnel.
