Three workers were killed when a water tank exploded at a Port while they were cleaning it with chemical substances. Citing a security source, it was reported that a chemical reaction—possibly intensified by the day’s extreme heat—ignited the blast inside the tank. The victims were inside the tank when the explosion occurred, leaving no chance for rescue, the source added. Emergency police patrols, ambulances, and a team from the forensic evidence department quickly responded to the site.
