I share this, as many may not recognize the power of a vacuum as a form of hazardous energy. ZERO = 0 and a vacuum is NOT zero, its actually LESS THAN ZERO!
I added this video to the library this weekend. It demonstrates the power of a vacuum and why ALL energy sources MUST be at a Zero Energy State (ZES). The worker was cutting a coupon out of the pipeline for advanced testing. I am not sure why the pipeline was under a vacuum; maybe it was undergoing some type of integrity testing. But as soon as he removes the coupon from the pipeline, he is sucked into the pipeline. He was killed in this event.
