Niffty infrared video of an NH3 release @ cold storage warehouse (Video)

Fire officials have an idea how much ammonia leaked from a cold-storage business but can’t say exactly how long it spewed. Roughly 60 pounds of the material leaked fire Capt. James Brown said. Investigators believe the leak was caused by a valve that wasn’t completely closed while the business was closed. No one was required to evacuate when the leak occurred.  This isn’t the first time a leak has been reported at the business.  On June 12, police and fire crews shut down parts of the street when a strong chemical smell emanating leak was reported at the cold storage facility. In that instance, residents living near by were told to stay in their homes for about two hours until the problem was resolved.  Fire officials said at the time a cooling system fan at the facility failed, causing overpressurization and leading a relief valve to open.  Here is the infrared drone footage shot by the FD…
