CO2 Cylinder Rupture

A gas cylinder was found in the parking lot of an event facility by staff arriving at work. The cylinder had launched from the concessions area the night before.

It left a hole in the ceiling and caused major damage to the room it was stored in. This illustrates the tremendous pressure inside gas cylinders (800-1000 lbs/sq in) and how they can become dangerous missiles when something goes wrong. No injuries, and the cause is currently under investigation.
