In 2021, the EPA published a Joint Safety Advisory with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Department of Homeland Security Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, focused on managing chemicals safely, securely, and in compliance with federal programs for Chemical Warehousing and Chemical Distribution Facilities.
In this video, we will address the types of operations in the chemical warehousing industry that are of focus, provide a summary of the EPA, Chemical Safety Board or CSB, OSHA, and DHS-CISA regulations applicable to these operations and define common issues related to chemical management and safety. The video will help identify key chemical safety regulations applicable to chemical distributors and manufacturers, identify common issues related to the management of hazardous chemicals, as well as locate resources for the industry developed by federal agencies.
