The propane rail car fire in CA has caught my attention. In reviewing video footage from the scene, I was surprised to see a $1,000,000 engine sitting in close proximity to a burning rail car.
I tend to stay out of these things until I am called to get involved, but this one is odd. Why would a Captain even take his/her crew into such close proximity of this situation?

A flammable storage cabinet is much different from a regular office cabinet! They may look similar in size and shape, but that is where their similarity ends. A flammable storage cabinet MUST have special features to comply with NFPA 30 and/or 1910.106(d)(3).
