Most of us have seen these “Big _ss” fans before. They move a lot of air and work well. (This is not an endorsement of the brand). Now, the 2021 International Mechanical Code (IMC) has caught up with these types of large-diameter ceiling fans. These fans are DEFINED and QUANTIFIED as:
A ceiling fan that is greater than 7 feet (2134 mm) in diameter.
These fans are also referred to as high-volume, low-speed (HVLS) fans.
