This is a MUST SEE video for those serious about emergency response! There was much interest in the I-10 vent and burn video I posted several months ago and thus I received hundreds of request for more information. As I said then, I am NOT a V&B expert and have seen only two in my lifetime. The I-10 video is about as good of look as any of us will ever get and now Transport Canada has published their V&B research video that explains this technique as well as anything I have seen in my 25 years as a responder. This 13-minute video is OUTSTANDING, but we MUST NOT consider this video as “training” in V&B techniques and merely as a means to curb our curiosity on the technique. In other words, LEAVE THIS TO THOSE PROFESSIONALS WHO HAVE THE SKILLS, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE, and COURAGE to carry out a vent and burn! Attempting this technique is as DANGEROUS as it gets in the world of HAZMAT.
