This was a photo I came across last week while doing the incident alerts and when I first saw it I was SHOCKED that professional firefighters could make such a fundamental error. Anyone who has spent some time in a Level A suit can tell from this photo these guys have been inside the suits for quite a while, so we know they are not getting ready to walk into the zones, but rather have exited the hot and warm zone. But what caught my eye is that there are three guys in Level D (if that) standing within several feet of the two entrants. By the way the incident was a release of chlorine from a 150 pound cylinder at a WWTP. Now Chlorine has a high vapor pressure, but there should be some type of decon for these guys BEFORE others approach them. We will NEVER really know what this photo is depicting, but it certainly caught my eye.
