CRANE FATALITY Spirit worker who died was crushed by an airplane part (worker injured in an accident Nov. 3 has died – he suffered a crushing injury when the load shifted and fell during the lifting of an aircraft part while using an overhead crane)

LOADING DOCK FATALITY Police: UPS worker killed in loading dock accident (worker, 48, was killed when he was struck by an 18-wheeler at the loading dock of the center a little before 3 p.m. – the victim stepped off the dock and was standing on the ground between the dock door and the trailer as the truck was backing up – the driver did not feel an impact and didn’t realize anyone was struck until after the incident)

CONVEYOR FATALITY Public Works employee killed in conveyor accident identified (one employee, 52, died and a second employee was injured at a Public Works building – he was part of a three-person crew loading salt into a dome on a conveyor and got caught in the machinery – second employee was also hurt, but is expected to be okay – his cause of death was ruled as blunt force injuries sustained in an industrial accident, and it was ruled an accident)

FATAL FALL into EXCAVATION  Worker dies from injuries in Monroe industrial accident (worker, 75, was supervising excavation of a hole for concrete foundation when he reportedly fell into a hole that was “being dug to pour footers for a new fall protection system)
