Please keep in mind that I am speaking strictly in terms of “complying” with required baseline standards and codes.

Is 10,000% compliance a pipe dream? Should it be an expectation of the business leaders? 10,000% means 100% compliance -100% of the time. Remember, these are baseline standards/codes that have been in place for 40-50+ years and many businesses have been in business this long or longer.

For example, fire extinguishers…

Are the appropriate types and sizes appropriately located based on the area hazards?

Do we inspect 100% of them monthly, perform annual inspections on 100% of them, and ensure that 100% have been hydro’Ed per their schedule?

Have all the employees who would be expected to use one been trained, both classroom and hands on annually?

Are they properly identified in the facility?

Basically, could your fire extinguishers pass a surprise inspection with a score of 100% on any given day? Too much to ask or a pipe dream?
