This ref’s delivery and leadership to regain control of a game that was getting out of hand was SPOT ON!
Everything necessary in life (rules, respect, and safety as a value) is ALL about the VALUES our leadership demonstrates. Our priorities change by the hour – our VALUES do not! We can change our priorities without any internal conflict; when our actions don’t align with our VALUES, then we have internal conflict and we are naturally wired to rid ourselves of that internal conflict. Many call this our “Conscience.”
Safety is NOT a priority; it must become a core VALUE within the business and then within the employees of that business. But it STARTS WITH LEADERSHIP demonstrating thru their words and actions that safety is a core value.
