The Journey to a Culture of Safety

The Journey to a Culture of Safety

The Journey to a Culture of SafetyThis is my “high-level” presentation to management teams on what the journey will look like and the effort it will take.  It is one thing to say “we want to be world-class” vs. what it will take to get there AND stay there.  Heck, I have yet to find a management group that could collectively agree on what “world-class safety” looks, feels, or sounds like within their organization.

And one thing we all know, but most management teams have a delusion about, is that an “injury rate” does not factor into being world-class!  That is the first thing a truly world-class safety organization will tell those who are following in their footsteps… “if you still talking about injury rates more than you are talking about the process that generates those rates it matters not what your rate is – you are NOT world-class!
